Controlling & customising your site

With the powerful mono site builder tool you have total control over your site. Aside from design and structure, you have the ability to control who can see your site or individual pages with password protection, manage users who sign up to receive updates on your sites, add custom HTML tags across your site and even customise any given skin if you are familiar with CSS editing. 

Keeping unauthorized visitors from accessing your website (or parts of it) has been made easy by the 'password protection' feature. Visitors can apply for access and you can easily manage the list of users that has been granted access. For example, you can use this feature in order to create an extranet/members-only area.

Keeping in touch with your visitors and customers is essential. With the mail notification function you have a powerful tool to update your users through email about events or news on your site. In mono, you can easily send notifications to anyone who has signed up to your site and manage your email lists.

Under site settings, you can access what is called Global HTML tags. Here you can paste HTML tags (for example, the Google Analytics tracking tag) that will automatically be added to all the pages on your site. This saves a lot of time and effort and allows you to work with many third party services for web analytics, advertising and more.

If you are an advanced user who knows how to use CSS, you can customise all the mono skin designs and styling as uniquely as you like.  Note that mono support does not support custom CSS, so we recommend you really know your way around CSS or hire someone who does, before making any changes to your mono CSS.
